SWIFT publishes practical guides for people building a career in software: learning to code, getting hired, growing from junior to senior, working remotely, and using AI automation to get more done.
Who writes SWIFT
Hi, I’m Ihwan, a product software engineer and indie app builder from Indonesia. I’ve helped build and ship mobile apps for Android and iOS, including Kawano Prestige, BIKO Membership, Kwatt Home Charging, and Erklika. Along the way I’ve worked with teams at member.id, Zenius, and Bobobox.
SWIFT is where I write down what I’ve learned about the work around the code: how careers in tech actually move, how remote work holds up day to day, and where automation is genuinely worth the effort. You can find more about my work at ihwan.id.

How we write
- Articles aim to be practical: steps you can follow, examples, and honest trade-offs.
- We link to original sources for facts and figures, and we update articles when things change.
- We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. Facts and figures are checked against the sources we link to, and we don’t publish made-up experiences or statistics.
- Found a mistake? Tell us and we’ll fix it.
